Coverage We Help You Compare
We compare plans from multiple carriers, so the plans you see are not limited to one company's catalog. Most clients start with individual health insurance or family health insurance, often through ACA Marketplace plans. Dental insurance, vision insurance and accident insurance can sit alongside a medical plan or stand on their own. Each option comes with its premium, deductible and network laid out plainly.

Individual Health Insurance
Health coverage in your own name, compared across carriers, with clear enrollment dates and a start date you can plan the rest of your month around.

Family Health Insurance
One plan for your spouse and children, matched to your doctors and medications, with enrollment dates set out before you choose.

ACA Marketplace Plans
Marketplace coverage chosen with your tax credit estimated, your doctors checked and every enrollment deadline written down before you commit.

Dental Insurance
Dental plans compared on what matters before you book: waiting periods, annual maximums, network dentists and the date your coverage actually starts.

Vision Insurance
Vision plans that cover your yearly eye exam, frames, lenses or contacts, with clear start dates so you know when you can book.

Accident Insurance
Supplemental coverage that pays you a set cash benefit after a covered injury, so a broken wrist doesn't drain savings while your deductible catches up.

Because we meet by phone and video too, distance rarely matters. Plan availability does vary by county, so we check the carriers offered where you live before showing options.
Where Your Premium Comes From
Neighbors on the same street can get very different quotes for close to the same coverage. A few factors set the price, and once you know them it gets easier to choose where to spend and where to hold back.
Each quote we bring you is pulled from the carrier's current rates for your circumstances. We put premium and deductible next to each other, so you weigh the whole cost and not only the monthly bill.
- Your age and whether you smoke
- Individual plans are priced in age bands, and on many medical plans a tobacco user pays a higher premium.
- Everyone listed on the plan
- A spouse or children change the total. Sometimes one family plan is cheaper, and sometimes putting members on separate plans comes out ahead.
- Metal tier and deductible
- Bronze, silver, gold and platinum plans swap a smaller monthly bill for bigger costs when you get care, or the other way around. Which mix fits depends on how much you expect to use the plan.
- The kind of network
- HMO, EPO and PPO plans vary in how easily you can see a specialist and whether care outside the network is paid. A wider network usually means a higher monthly premium.
- Your income and tax credits
- With ACA Marketplace plans, the income you expect this year may earn you a premium tax credit that cuts your cost. We work out that estimate together, which keeps tax season calmer.

About Our Office
Private Health Insurance Plant City helps individuals and families find health, dental, vision and accident coverage that fits their budget and their calendar. We work from our office in Plant City and meet just as easily by phone or video.
We are careful with your time. A consultation has an agenda, a start time we keep and a clear next step at the end. If we are waiting on a carrier, we say so and tell you when to expect an answer.
Some clients come to us before open enrollment closes. Others call after a job change or a move. Either way, the conversation is unhurried and the facts are laid out in plain language.

How You Go From a Phone Call to Coverage
Most people are done after one or two talks with us. This is what each step involves.
- 1
A short call to start
Call us and pick a time for your consultation, at the office or by phone or video. If a deadline is coming up, tell us and we will book around it.
- 2
A single set of questions
We find out who needs coverage, the doctors you use, the medications you take and a rough idea of your income. Have your current insurance card handy if you carry one.
- 3
Options side by side
Plans from several carriers appear together, each showing its premium, deductible, out-of-pocket maximum and network. Ask as many questions as you like, then make your choice.
- 4
Enrollment with your dates set
We guide you through signing up and confirm the effective date and your first payment. By the end, you know the day your benefits begin.
- 5
Contact through the year
If a carrier changes its network or a life change gives you a new chance to enroll, we get in touch and explain what it means for you.

What Working With Us Looks Like
Deadlines drive health coverage. We spell out your dates early, show up for every appointment we book, and let you know quickly when a carrier changes something.
- Lots of carriers, a single meeting
- Because we compare plans from multiple carriers, we can line up several plans and point out how their premiums, deductibles and in-network doctors compare.
- We are on time
- A time we agree on is a time we keep. If a call runs over or a carrier is slow with a quote, you hear from us ahead of your appointment, not later.
- Dates you can write down
- You will have the enrollment deadline, the due date for your first premium and the day coverage starts before you sign up. No more guessing about the first of the month.
- Word from us when a plan shifts
- Each year carriers revise networks and benefits. If a change affects your plan, we explain it and tell you whether another option is now a better match.
- Our help is free
- Meeting with us costs nothing. We are paid by the carrier behind the plan you choose, so having us review your options does not raise your bill.
What New Clients Usually Ask
- How much do you charge?
- Nothing. The consultation is free and we never send you a bill. Our pay comes from the carrier whose plan you choose.
- Does using you cost more than going to the carrier myself?
- No. Premiums are set by each carrier and filed with the state, so the price is the same either way. What changes is that you see many carriers in a single meeting.
- When am I allowed to sign up for health coverage?
- In Florida, open enrollment for ACA Marketplace plans usually starts in early November and ends in mid-January. Outside that stretch, moving, marrying, having a baby or losing other coverage can open a special enrollment period, typically around 60 days. Dental, vision and accident plans often take applications all year.
- When does my plan take effect?
- That depends on the kind of plan and the date you enroll. In open enrollment, applications completed by mid-December generally begin January 1. Before we finish, we confirm your exact start date.
- Will my doctors still be covered?
- Usually, though every plan's network makes the call. Give us your doctors' names and we will see which plans include them before you decide.
- Can I get help with the monthly cost?
- Plenty of clients do. On ACA Marketplace plans, a premium tax credit depends on your expected income and how many people the plan covers, and we work out an estimate with you in the consultation.
- How does accident insurance work, and do I need it?
- If you suffer an injury named in the policy, like a fracture or a fall that sends you to the ER, the plan pays you a set cash sum. You choose how to use it, from your medical deductible to groceries during recovery. It works alongside a medical plan rather than in place of one, and we will give you a straight answer on whether the premium makes sense for you.
